    I liked him too. He is forever linked with my childhood. For some reason the comedies really stand out in my memory... The Two Ronnies (as well as Porrige and Open All Hours)... Dave Allen... Noelene Brown in the Naked Vicar Show. A big thank you to them all.

    it was the golden age of comedy on the box. Dave Allen was a cult figure in our house.
    Cant,
    Ronnie Barker was an English comedian who starred in a show called Porridge. Prior to that he was in a sketch show with Ronnie Corbett, called The Two Ronnies. At the end of each show Corbett would say "It's goodnight from me."
    To which Barker would add "... and it's goodnight from him."
    Both, "Goodnight."
