    Feedlot

I thought that it was about time that you saw what our feedlot looks like.
    Feedlots have cows in them.

When Baby Jesus wants a cow for a sunbeam you cut it up into pieces.

The pieces are called 'steak'. Steak is good.

    Ranger,
pfft, baseball gloves. At least Australian Rules football boots are made out of an Australian animal - kangaroo skin. Them again, most european football boots are made out of Skippies, too.
    Cant,
if it ain't bleeding, it ain't steak. Well done steak is what they repair roads with ;-)
    Dollop,
glad I was able to help with your spiritual awakening.

This post reminds me of an episode of the Simpsons and "Bovine University"!

    Dollop,
not only bikes and steaks; I can usually walk across the nearest river without getting my feet wet.
    Chickybabe,
I'll have to take your word for it, I've never voluntarily watched The Simpsons.

Do you breed your own or buy in stores? They look like Hereford Braham X? on second look they could be anything.

    FXH,
all our cattle are 100% pure Heinz. Offhand , I can think of Brahman, Droughtmaster, Santa Gertrudis, Charolais, Murray Grey, Angus and Hereford, plus any number of mixtures. If it makes the weight and has room for more, we'll take it. We don't have any cows and the only bulls we've got are supposed to be steers but got lucky (for a while).
